St Thomas à Becket School is situated in the village of Tilshead in a beautiful, rural location in the middle of Salisbury Plain. We offer a caring, family environment with small classes whilst providing an excellent education for all our children. 

We are very proud that in March 2011 Ofsted recognised that children's behaviour was exemplary and that the outcomes for our pupils were outstanding, particularly in aspects of their personal development. 

We aim to offer a safe, happy, secure environment where children develop a real love of learning, equipping them for life outside school. We are a school where every child really matters and where their progress both academically and socially is key to everything we do. We believe their education should be wide and varied.

There is an independent nursery school in our grounds open to children from the age of 2 until they start school.  We have close links with the nursery school and when their children are approaching school age they visit us once a week to make the transition to school as seamless as possible.  

The nursery also runs an After School Club for children at the school every night until 6.00pm.
